Deutschschweizer besuchen ja Genf oft nur während des Autosalons im März ;-)
Doch die weltberühmte Stadt an der Rhone ist durchaus einen längeren Besuch wert.

Auch Hotels gibs wie Sand am Meer. Durchaus keine einfache Wahl
aber ich habe mal wieder voll ins Schwarze getroffen!

Das kürzlich unter neuem Namen wiedereröffnete 4 Sterne Superior Hotel N'vY liegt nur ein Steinwurf vom Ufer des Genfersees entfernt und zum Hauptbahnhof sind es zwei Tramstationen...

als auch die 153 Zimmer und Suiten!

Die Zimmer sind zwar nicht riesig doch es ist alles in guter Qualität vorhanden.
Besonders TV und Soundsystem überzeugen durch satten Sound!

Nach einigen Schritten ist man bereits am Genfersee wo die gelben Taxiboote Touristen vom einen Ufer zum anderen bringen. Mit unserer Touristenkarte können wir die Schiffe sogar kostenlos nutzen.

Der Schein trügt, trotz Sonne ist es ziemlich kalt hier im Oktober - zumindest am Schatten,
sonst wäre wohl in dieser Lounge kein freier Platz mehr zu finden...

Eine der feinsten Adressen in Genf ist das Four Seasons :-)

Die Stadt kann man in unterschiedlichster Art erkunden. Wir entscheiden uns für das
Bähnli welches uns durch die hügelige Altstadt fährt...

Neben Prunkbauten und Statuen von Generälen fahren wir durch den Parc des Bastions...

...und bestaunen die Wand der Reformatoren.

Aber auch das Haus oben rechts hat geschichtsträchtige Momente erlebt.
Hinter diesen Mauern wurde 1863 das Rote Kreuz gegründet...

Im Herzen der Altstadt, dem Place du Bourg-de-Four ist flanieren angesagt. Die Bistros sind gut besucht und abends isst man währschaft in den Beizen rund herum...

Bei der Cathedrale Saint-Pierre treffen wir viele Touristen und bewundern alte Kanonen.

Wieder an der Rhone staunen wir über das Finanzviertel welches über 130 Banken aus der ganzen Welt beherbergt!!! Das lässt Schwäne offenbar nicht erblassen, im Gegenteil dieser hier wurde schwarz davon??

Im Parc Mon Repos ist wieder flanieren angesagt und die Stadt zeigt sich von ihrer grünen, ruhigen Seite.
